Robert Henderson III, 61, of Palenville

Robert Henderson, III, was born on Nov. 1, 1956, in Kingston, N.Y., and passed away on Jan. 24, 2018.

He is the son of Edna Henderson of Mt. Marion, and the late Robert Henderson, Jr.

Robert was employed with The N.Y.S. Dept. of Corrections, at Coxsackie Correctional Facility, as a counselor. He proudly served his country in The United States Marines.

Besides his mother, Robert is survived by his daughter, Lisa; his son, Bobby; granddaughter, Kristen; his brother, Michael and wife Dawn; sisters, Annette, Judy, Gladys and husband Eddy; and half-sister, Twillia; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Robert enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and deer hunting. His love for motorcycles brought him to love and cherish his brothers and sisters of the Bejacs Motorcycle Club of Catskill. He was an officer and held the road captain patch, which he earned through planning, and desire to maintain safety while in groups.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours at Richards Funeral Home, 29 Bross Street, Cairo, N.Y. on Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018, from 12 Noon to 2 p.m. The N.Y. S. Military Forces Honor Guard will conduct services at the funeral home at 1:30p.m. on Sunday.
