Mary Ann Saracino, 63, of Richmondville
RICHMONDVILLE, N.Y. » Mary Ann Saracino, 63, of Sawyer Hollow Road, Town of Fulton, Richmondville, N.Y., died Sunday, April 1, 2018, at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady after being stricken at home.
Mrs. Saracino was born Aug. 28, 1954, in Kingston, N.Y., a daughter of Donald and Mary (Biekert) Scism. She graduated from Coleman High School in Kingston and later received her LPN and practiced nursing at Benedictine Hospital in Kingston for many years. She also later worked at Central Nursing Services in Troy before ill health prevented her from working. Mary Ann enjoyed show-horses and training horses along with her love of her dogs. She was a member of the Low Land Horse Club in Kingston, N.Y. She and her husband moved to Schoharie County two years ago to enjoy the countryside and peacefulness of the area.
Survivors include her husband, Graziano Saracino, whom she married on Aug. 25, 1974; two brothers-in-law, Primo Saracino of Sharon Springs and Silvio Saracino of Port Ewen, N.Y.; also one niece and two nephews-in-law, Jennifer, Frank, and Michael.
A calling hour will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 8, 2018, at the Robert A. Guffin Funeral Home, 108 Chapel St., Cobleskill, N.Y., followed by a prayer service at 2 p.m. Burial will be later in the Summit Cemetery.
