Rhinebeck stymies Dover

Lex Kronbichle­r, Brendan Hines and Matt Denatale combined to handcuff Dover Monday, handing Rhinebeck High its first win of the season with a 7-1 Mid-Hudson Athletic League baseball decision.

Kronbichle­r pitched the first three innings, Hines tossed the next 2 2/3, and Denatale went the final 1 2/3.

Hines got the win and (11) Rhinebeck pulled away with a five-run sixth. Strachan Doran (single, double) and Matt Hanson (double) both had two RBI for the Hawks. Marlboro 15, Rondout 3

At Kyserike, Sam Mongelli had a big game for Marlboro, driving in six runs with two doubles and a homer and combined with Christian Diorio and Austin Casey on a three-hitter.

The trio struck out 14 for he (2-0 MHAL, 3-0 overall) Dukes.

Mike Paolo had two hits and two RBI, Casey drove in two runs and Mike Greco and Brendan Mahusky each had a RBI for Marlboro.

Dalas Romaguera had a double for Rondout. Saugerties 11, Wallkill 7

At Wallkill, Saugerties scored all its runs in the first two innings, including nine (seven unearned) in the third to take control of the MHAL game.

Evan Norman (two singles, triple, two RBI), Ty Gallagher (two doubles, single, two RBI), Jake Roberti (two singles) and Randy Dodig (RBI triple) led the (2-0) Sawyers. Kieran Defino got the win.

Andrew Strobach (double, triple, 2 RBI), Ian Devan (two singles, triple), Nick Scarano (RBI double), Matt Stewart (single, double, RBI) paced (0-2) Wallkill. Spackenkil­l 7, Onteora 2

At Boiceville, Zach Cioffi drove in two runs with a single and double and winning pitcher Conner Lee doubled to help lead Spackenkil­l.

Zach Chartrand doubled and singled and Bret Berryann had a run-scoring single for Onteora. O’Neill 7, Highland 6

At Highland, Jake Barowicz knocked in four runs with a single and triple and Jay Aprilante pitched for the win to James I. O’Neill in a non-league game.

Dylan Warren had two hits and two RBI and Matty Molheiro banged out two hits for Highland.
