Rhinebeck no-hits Webutuck

RHINEBECK, N.Y. » Matt Denatale threw a no-hitter and fanned 11, as Rhinebeck High blanked Webutuck 10-0 in a Mid-Hudson Athletic League baseball game on Wednesday.

Adam Fitzpatric­k hit two singles and had two RBI; James Murray singled twice and Sam Ulrich had two RBI to lead the Hawks, who put up a four-spot in the second to make it 5-0. Ellenville 10, Onteora 0

At Ellenville, Justin Guiliano threw a one-hitter and struck out nine as the Devils beat the Eagles for the first time in 14 years.

“He kept the hitters off balance all day and was very impressive in his first outing of the year,” Ellenville Coach Dan Cavanagh said.

Leading 2-0 going into the fifth, the Devils exploded for eight runs to take the win.

Andrew Dawson doubled and had an RBI and Seth Vandemark and Jason Lonstein each knocked in three runs to lead (1-0) Ellenville. Highland 5, Red Hook 4

At Red Hook, trailing 3-0 after the second inning, the Huskies prevailed in a back-and-forth contest.

Highland chipped away with a run in third, two in the fifth and another in the sixth to take a 4-3 lead only to see Red Hook knot the score at 4-4 in the bottom of the frame. The Huskies pulled ahead 5-4 in the seventh en route to the win.

Tommy Cipillini scored two runs and knocked in a run; Ethan Thompson hit a double and scored a run; and Max Vidal tripled, doubled and scored a run to lead Highland.

Dylan Warren got the win, while Zack Schott suffered the loss.

Schott belted a homer and three singles, while knocking in two runs and scoring a run and James Flood walked twice, stole two bases and had a RBI for the Raiders. Marlboro 12, Wallkill 2

At Marlboro, leading 3-0, the Dukes put up a seven-spot in the third to put the game out of reach.

Fred Callo got the win, striking out five while giving up six hits and two earned runs in four innings.

Sam Mongelli doubled, singled and had two RBI; Brendand Mahusky hit two singles and knocked in two runs; Mike Troncillit­o singled and had two RBI; and Eric Grezechows­ki singled twice to lead Marlboro.

Andrew Strobach hit two singles and knocked in a run to pace the Panthers.
