Wounded Warrior Fundraiser on May 19 in Hudson
WHAT: Classic Auto and Motorcycle Wounded Warrior Fundraiser
WHEN: May 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
WHERE: John A. Alvarez & Sons Display Center, 3572 U.S. Route 9, Hudson
DETAILS: The Ninth Annual Classic Auto and Motorcycle Wounded Warrior Fundraiser, featuring classic vehicles, will take place. Car club members and individual classic car owners are welcome to display their classic vehicles. There are no entry fees. Formosa Quartet performs May 20 in Stamford
WHAT: Concert WHEN: May 20 at 3 p.m.
WHERE: Stamford United Methodist Church, 88 Main St., Stamford
DETAILS: Friends of Music of Stamford will present the Formosa Quartet. Formed in 2002, this string ensemble is committed to championing Taiwanese music, as well as exploring diverse and adventurous mediums. It features Jasmine Lin and Wayne Lee on violins, Che-Yen Chen on viola and Deborah Pae on cello. They hold degrees from the Juilliard School, Curtis Institute of Music and New England Conservatory. They have established themselves as leading solo, chamber, and orchestral musicians and have performed in major venues throughout the United States, Asia and Europe. Admission is by donation. The suggested donation is $12 per person, and $6 for seniors and students. Children ages 12 and under are admitted free. Payment is by cash or check only.
