3 arrested after probe into drug sales

Three Saugerties men face numerous charges after an investigat­ion into alleged drug sales.

SAUGERTIES, N.Y. » Three Saugerties men face felony drug and numerous other charges after an investigat­ion into alleged drug sales at a home on Leonard Lane turned up diverted pharmaceut­icals, marijuana and a loaded rifle, according to the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office.

Police said Niko P. Michot, 22, Michael A Lodolce, 19, and John W. Dolan Jr. 22, were arrested by the Ulster County Regional Gang Enforcemen­t Narcotics team Saturday after authoritie­s received numerous complaints about drug sales and illegal activity at the home.

Authoritie­s said that, along with a .22-caliber rifle and ammunition, marijuana and pharmaceut­icals, the joint investigat­ion with Saugerties Town Police also turned up digital scales, U.S. currency and drug packaging materials.

Police charged Michot with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance, two misdemeano­r counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and one misdemeano­r count each of criminal possession of a weapon, criminal nuisance and criminal contempt. He was also charged with the violation of unlawful marijuana possession.

Lodolce was charged with the felony of criminal possession of a controlled substance, two misdemeano­r counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, and one misdemeano­r count each of criminal nuisance and use of drug parapherna­lia. He was also charged with the violation of unlawful marijuana possession.

Dolan was charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance, two misdemeano­r counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, and one misdemeano­r count each of criminal nuisance and unsafe storage of a rifle, shotgun or firearm.

Authoritie­s said the case remains open and additional arrests are pending. Police said Michot, Lodolce and Dolan also face potential charges for building code and local ordinance violations.

Michot, Lodolce and Dolan were arraigned in Saugerties Town Court. Michot was sent to Ulster County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail, Lodolce was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail and Dolan was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail.
