Arizona Cardinals tight end Ricky SealsJones has been arrested after allegedly pushing an employee while forcing his way into a hotel to use a restroom.

Scottsdale police said the 23-year-old was arrested early Saturday on suspicion of assault, disorderly conduct and trespassing.

A police report said SealsJones appeared to be intoxicated and that a hotel staff member said Sales-Jones forced his way inside after being told the restrooms were for hotel guests only. He denied shoving anyone.

Online court records don’t list an attorney for Seals-Jones who could comment on the allegations.

The Cardinals in a statement said the team is aware of the situation but declined to comment “while the legal process remains ongoing.”

A person familiar with the situation says veteran running back Shane Vereen has agreed to join the New Orleans Saints in a move that could help the club respond to Mark Ingram’s early season suspension.

The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity on Wednesday because the roster move has not been announced.

Vereen has served as a runner and receiver with New England and the New York Giants during his seven NFL seasons.

He gained 838 yards from scrimmage and scored five touchdowns for the Patriots’ 2014 squad that won the Super Bowl.

Last season with the Giants, he rushed for 164 yards and caught 44 passes for 253 yards.

Liverpool says midfielder Alex OxladeChamberlain is set to miss the “vast majority” of next season as he recovers from a serious knee ligament injury.

Oxlade-Chamberlain was injured in the first leg of Liverpool’s Champions League semifinal against Roma in April and underwent surgery a week later. It ruled him out of the World Cup for England.

Liverpool said Wednesday that “competitive game time before the end of the campaign would be a bonus” for the 24-year-old Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Liverpool has signed central midfielders Fabinho and Naby Keita ahead of the new season.
