Saugerties
· Contempt: Jairo A. Gonzalez-Palma, 22, of Washington Avenue, was arrested at 12:56 a.m. Wednesday and charged by Saugerties police with two misdemeanor counts of criminal contempt for allegedly violating a court order to stay away from two women. Police responding to a 911 call for an unwanted person found Gonzalez-Palma lying on the bed of one of the two women who occupied a village of Saugerties apartment. Gonzalez-Palma was sent to Ulster County Jail on $750 bail.
Town of Ulster
· Grand larceny, falsifying business records: Francis
J. Smith, 39, of Kingston, was arrested at 10:37 a.m. Wednesday and charged with felony grand larceny by Ulster Town Police. Police said Smith, while working at Staples on Ulster Avenue, took more than $3,000 by completing fraudulent transactions and applying that money to gift cards for his own use. He was arraigned in Ulster Town Court and released pending further proceedings.
· DWI, aggravated unlicensed operator: Stephanie A. Skiadas, 28, of Pleasant Valley, was arrested at 9:46 p.m. Wednesday and charged by Ulster Town Police with drunken driving, driving with a blood alcohol content exceeding .08 percent and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, all misdemeanors, following a one-car accident on state Route 209. She was released to reappear in Ulster Town Court.
