City of Kingston
• DWI/DWAI: Norma Viera, 62, of Kingston, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 3:35 a.m. Saturday on misdemeanor charges of drunken driving and operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs. She was also issued a traffic ticket for failure to keep right on a two-lane road. Viera was released to a third party pending a court appearance.
Catskill
• DWI: Paul M. Graham, 47, of Palenville, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 1:52 a.m. Sunday on state Route 23A on a misdemeanor drunken driving charge. Further information was unavailable.
• Drugs: Shafi U. Shairzai, 28, of New York state, whose address was unavailable, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 5:07 a.m. Sunday on County Route 23B and was charged with two misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Shairzai was also charged with unlawful marijuana possession, a violation. Shairzai was released with an appearance ticket for Catskill Town Court.
• DWI: Justin Chestnut, 37, of Leeds, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 4:29 a.m. Sunday on Allen Street on misdemeanor charges of drunken driving and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent. Chestnut was released with an appearance ticket for Catskill Town Court.
• DWI: Darien Moore, 27, of Livingston, was arrested by state police at Claverack at 5:13 a.m. Sunday on U.S. Route 9 on a misdemeanor charge of drunken driving. Moore was held pending arraignment.
New Paltz
• DWI: Rachel G. Brugger, 20, of Pine Plains, was arrested by state police at Highland at 1:48 a.m. Sunday on state Route 299 on misdemeanor charges of drunken driving and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent. Brugger was released with an appearance ticket for New Paltz Town Court.
• DWI: Ryan P. Samuels, 22, of Wallkill, was arrested by state police at Highland at 4:35 a.m. Sunday on Plattekill Avenue on misdemeanor charges of drunken driving and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent. He was also issued traffic tickets for a motor vehicle license violation, no license and failure to stop at a stop sign. Samuels was released with an appearance ticket for New Paltz Town Court.
Rosendale
• Drugs: Isabel M, Ferrer, 20, of LaGrangeville, and Julian M. Muhlemann, 20, of Clinton Corners, were arrested by state police at Ulster on state Route 32 at Tillson Road at 5:20 a.m. Saturday. Ferrer was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), a felony, and misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance. Muhlemann was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), a felony; misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance; and aggravated unlicensed operation (three or more suspensions). Muhlemann was also issued a traffic ticket for failure to keep right. Further information was unavailable.
