The following items are based on information provided by officials in law enforcement and the criminal justice system.
Athens
· DWI: Rachel V. Pausley, 34, of Leeds, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 9:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, on Leeds Athens Road and charged with misdemeanor drunken driving. Pausley was released with an appearance ticket for Athens Town Court.
Cairo
· DWAI-drugs: J.M. Witko Rightmyer, 48, of Cairo, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 8:15 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, on state Route 145 and Frank Hitchcock Boulevard and charged with the misdemeanors of obstruction of governmental administration and driving while ability impaired by drugs. Witko-Rightmyer’s status was unavailable.
Hunter
· Assault/weapon: Karen J. Benjamin, 61, of Lanesville, was arrested by state police at Hunter at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, and charged with felony assault and misdemeanor possession of a weapon. Benjamin was released with appearance tickets for Hunter Town Court.
Saugerties
· Criminal mischief: Paul E. Iannacone, 41, of 176 Hudson St., Glasco, was arrested by Saugerties police at 7:55 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1 on Stephen Drive in Glasco on a felony warrant for criminal mischief stemming from a Sept. 26 complaint. At that time, Iannacone allegedly used a brick to damage a 2005 Nissan Maxima, smashing out both the windshield and rear window and then damaging the hood and front and rear fenders. At the time, Iannacone was taken to the Health Alliance Hospital Broadway Campus. He was released with an appearance ticket for Saugerties Town Court and an order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.
Town of Ulster
· DWI: Joseph R. Schneider, 41, of Kingston, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 8:50 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, on state Route 28 in the town and charged with the misdemeanors of driving with a blood-alcohol content at or exceeding 0.08 percent and drunken driving and with the infractions of inadequate lights and drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on a highway. Schneider was released with an appearance ticket for Ulster Town Court.
