PORTAGE, WIS. >> Dale Alan Koch, age 80, of Portage, Wis., passed away peacefully Sept. 24, 2018 at Neighbors of Dunn County.

Dale was born Feb. 21, 1938 in Waukesha to Elmer and Gertrude Koch.

He served in the Marines Corps from 1957 to 1961. He had been stationed at Camp Pendleton and Camp Lejeune.

He was employed at Waukesha motors as a machinist and later as a plumber for Herr, heavy equipment operator and handyman working for several different companies.

Dale had a great love for fishing and gardening.

He is survived by his brother, Lyle Koch of Dousman, and sisters, Judy Wulf of Ashland and Bonnie Rowlett of Arizona. He is further survived by his six children; David Koch of Eau Galle Wis., Jeff Koch of California, Caryn (Dennis) Helbing of Jefferson, Aileen (Greg) Brown of North Port, Fla., Amy (Jason) Mueller of Milwaukee and Julie Koch of Portage. In addition to 18 grandchild­ren: Bradley, Katrina, Kayla, Eric, Cory, Michael, Jacob, Kristen, Sylvia, Carl, Timothy, Thomas, Sarah, Kelly, Michael, Logan, Shailyn, Zaydan, and Kayde; Dale has 12 greatgrand­children: Addison, Cyan, Dustin, Esca, Genevieve, Julianna, Julie, Jenell, Joseph, Lilyana, Lucas and Michael; as well as other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents well as his brothers Raymond and Dennis (Pete).

Adhering to his wishes, there will be no service. His urn will be laid to rest at the Spooner WI State VA cemetery Oct. 5 2018 at 11 a.m. Memorials can be donated to the American Cancer Society or the National Parkinson’s Foundation.
