Kingston hands VC first loss
A pair of unbeaten boys soccer teams were knocked off Monday with Kingston handing Valley Central its first loss and Mount Academy falling to Fallsburg.

At Lake Katrine, Andrew Esposito scored on Modou Badjie’s assist to give (4-3) Kingston its third consecutive victory.
A tremendous performance by goalkeeper Caesar Martinez, who made six saves, keyed the Tiger defense.
“He made several heroic saves tonight,” Kingston coach Dan Franklin said. “Throughout both halves, Valley Central pushed through-balls behind our defense and Caesar kept making game-saving blocks. He was really the MVP tonight.”
Gregory Osterhoudt stopped 10 shots to keep the match tight for (4-1-1) Valley Central.
Fallsburg 2, Mount Academy 1
At Esopus, Jose Ramirez converted a penalty kick and Oscar Cricuela scored to lift Fallsburg.
Benson Arnold connected for Mount Academy, which was 7-0 coming in.
Ricky Garcia stopped three shots for the Comets. Mount goalie Stuart Boller had five saves.
Rhinebeck 6, Onteora 0
At Rhinebeck, Noah Lortie’s hat trick and one assist fueled the (70) Hawks to the MidHudson Athletic League victory.
Johnny Lange, George Ashworth and Finn Ashworth scored for Rhinebeck; Gideon Rothschild had a pair of assists; while Declan Kroll and Cameron Cantine added an assist each in the win.
Ethan Viator helped preserve the shutout, while counterpart Jake Stern was in goal for the Eagles.
