Cairo
• DWI: Miftar Hoti, 50, of Freehold, was arrested by state police at Catskill Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 9:27 p.m. on state Route 32 and was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood-alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent (first offense), both misdemeanors. Hoti was issued a court appearance ticket.
Coxsackie
• DWI: Michael Thompson, 36, of Coxsackie, was arrested on Van Dyke Street in the village at 11:51 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, and was charged with with driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood-alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent (first offense), both misdemeanors. He was released with a court appearance ticket.
Greenville
• Forged instrument: Turnier F. Destine, 28, of Brooklyn, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, and was charged with possession of a forged instrument, a felony. He was held pending a court appearance.
Hurley
• DWI: Kyle J. Shultis, 32, of Mount Tremper, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 8:08 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 370 Old Route 28 and was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood-alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent (first offense), both misdemeanors. Shultis was issued a court appearance ticket.
Plattekill
• Drugs: An 18-year-old male from Milton was arrested by state police at Highland on Barclay Road in Plattekill at 5:09 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, along with the violations of having a controlled substance in a nonoriginal container and unlawful possession of marijuana. He was issued a court appearance ticket.
Town of Ulster
• DWI/Obstructing: Daniel P. Schultz, 56, and Patricia Schultz, 45, both of Margaretville, were arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 11:20 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, on state Route 28. Daniel Schultz was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a felony; driving while intoxicated, driving with a bloodalcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent, and criminal possession of a controlled substance, all misdemeanors, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. Patricia Schultz was charged with obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest, misdemeanors. Both were issued court appearance tickets.
Wawarsing
• Contraband:JamesCasey, 21, of Napanoch, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 1:05 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, and was charged with possessing dangerous contraband in prison, a felony. He was held pending a court appearance.
