On the move
Dr. Dean L. Bloch, of Red Hook, N.Y., has been named chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Kingston hospitals operated by HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley.
Bloch oversees the Family Birth Place childbirth center at HealthAlliance Hospital: Broadway Campus, and sees patients at WMCHealth Advanced OB-GYN’s Kingston location at the Broadway Medical Pavilion, 373 Broadway.
Board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Bloch received his medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington, now the university’s Robert Larner, MD, College of Medicine, and completed an obstetrics-gynecology residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, now New York–Presbyterian Hospital.
He practiced at HealthAlliance predecessor hospitals Kingston Hospital and Benedictine Hospital from 2000 to 2010 and was most recently part of the Health Quest Medical Practice in Rhinebeck.
