Three people, including one from Hyde Park, were shot in the Mansion Street-Winnikee Avenue area of the city of Poughkeepsie, police said Friday.

When officers arrived at the scene about 8:25 p.m. Thursday, the three victims, one from Hyde Park and two from Spring Valley, already been taken to local hospitals in private vehicles, police said. Two went to MidHudson Regional Hospital and one to the Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

A handgun and shell casings were recovered at the scene, but police said the victims could not provide a description of the shooter or shooters or say from where the shots came.

None of the three suffered life-threatening injuries, and one was treated and released, police said. Police did not identify any of the three.

The victims told investigators they were in Poughkeepsie to make a music video, police said.

Thursday’s shooting was the second in as many days in Poughkeepsie. On Wednesday, a man was shot in the leg and robbed by a person who jumped into his car on Catherine Street, police said.

The victim in that case, a 34-year-old Pawling man whose name was not provided, told police he had stopped to adjust his Bluetooth when a person he did not know jumped into his car, shot him, took a Gucci backpack containing several thousand dollars in cash, then jumped into a maroon SUV-type vehicle and fled.

The victim was treated at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Anyone with information about either shooting is asked to call Poughkeepsie police at (845) 4517577.
