Coxsackie

• Drugs: Morris V. Welthy, 28, of Catskill, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeano­r, and with possession of marijuana, a violation. Welthy was released with tickets for Coxsackie Town Court.

Esopus

• DWAI-drugs: Nancy L. Diaz, 21, of Kingston, was arrested by state police at Highland at 8:40 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, on U.S. Route 9W and was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeano­r. Diaz was released with tickets for Esopus Town Court.

• DWAI-drugs: Linda R. Karpell, 69, of Accord, was arrested by state police at Highland Saturday, Oct. 27, on U.S. Route 9W and was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and driving while ability impaired by drugs, all misdemeano­r, and with having a controlled substance in a non-original container, a violation. Karpell was released with tickets for Esopus Town Court.

• Drugs: Phyllis E. Barringer, 55, of Kerhonkson, was arrested by state police at Highland at 12:18 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, at 33 Cathrine’s Lane and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeano­r. Further informatio­n was unavailabl­e.

Town of Ulster

• Aggravated unlicensed

driving/DWI: James R. Helmly, 30, of Kingston, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 9:49 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, on Washington Avenue and was charged with aggravated unlicensed driving (alcohol), a felony; driving with a blood-alcohol level at or exceeding 0.08 percent and drunken driving, both misdemeano­rs; and the infraction­s of no license, speeding and refusing a breath test. Helmly was released with tickets for Ulster Town Court.
