BLOOMINGTO­N >> Hildegard Schulz, 83, a former longtime resident of Bloomingto­n, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018, at Ten Broeck Commons in Lake Katrine, where she had been a resident since 2010.

She was born in Yugoslavia on Aug. 22, 1935, and had resided in Bloomingto­n since 1964. Hildegard had been active in several area bowling leagues, including Kingston, Rotron and Marbletown American Legion. She also enjoyed gardening and sewing.

She was a loving mother, grandmothe­r and great-grandmothe­r, who enjoyed spending time with her family.

Her husband, Guenter G. Schulz Sr., died Oct. 2, 2003; a daughter, Anna Santowsky, died April 1, 2016; and a sister, Lydia Wenker, also died previously.

She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Van Anden of Kingston and Elizabeth Reynolds of Rosendale; two sons, Guenther G. Jr. of Rosendale and John Schulz of Las Vegas, Nev.; a sister, Marta Langenfeld of Nevada; three brothers, Joe, Peter, and Oscar Goerges, all of Minnesota; and a son-in-law, Spencer Santowsky of Accord. Also surviving are 19 grandchild­ren, 36 great-grandchild­ren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, 2018, at George J. Moylan Funeral Home Inc., 2053 Route 32, Rosendale. The Rev. Arlene Dawber will officiate.
