Kingston man facing charges in Albany County
A Kingston man was arrested on charges he tried to meet up with an 11-year-old girl for sex.
A Kingston man was committed to Albany County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or bond after he allegedly tried to meet with an 11-yearold girl to have sex.
Police allege that Jacob Styles, 25, made arrangements to meet with the child and was taken into custody on Friday, Nov. 2, 2018, after he traveled to the town of Colonie to meet her.
State police said they charged Styles with “multiple felonies,” including attempted rape and attempted criminal sexual act.
He was arrested following an investigation by state police investigators from the Latham and Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, FBI and Colonie police.
