HIGH­LAND >> Pa­trick W. Duffy passed away Nov. 2, 2018, at Hud­son Val­ley Re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion and Extended Care Cen­ter in High­land, N.Y., fol­low­ing a long struggle af­ter a stroke and COPD com­pli­ca­tions.

Pa­trick served in the U.S. Army, which in­cluded a tour in Viet­nam. Pa­trick also had 19 years in the Friends of Bill W. 12-step fel­low­ship. His love of Nascar was stead­fast and he’d hang up on you if you called dur­ing a race (some­times even dur­ing those trial things)! He also loved fish­ing, hunt­ing, work­ing with wood, and model cars. He had a love-hate re­la­tion­ship with his iPad and we will all miss his sense of hu­mor!

Pat is sur­vived by his three chil­dren, Pa­trick Duffy, Mon­ica Duffy, and Shane Duffy. Pat is also sur­vived by John Duffy (Lorri), Arthur Gell, Ruth Duffy, Jes­sica Duffy Reynolds (Ron­ald Reynolds), Mary Jane Duffy (Dou­glas Reed) and Robert Duffy (Amy).

Pat is pre­de­ceased by his par­ents, John P. and Pearl (Ash) Duffy, and his si­b­lings, Made­line Duffy Gell, Wil­liam (Billy) Duffy, and Claire Duffy Reynolds.

Cre­ma­tion and me­mo­rial ar­range­ments are un­der the guid­ance of Joseph V. Leahy Fu­neral Home Inc., 27 Smith Ave., Kingston (www.jvleahyfh.com). Me­mo­rial visi­ta­tion will take place on Sun­day, Nov. 18, 2018, from 2 to 4 p.m.
