Tour­na­ments Tour­na­ment Club: Sec­ond qual­i­fy­ing event of the sea­son 1 p.m. Nov. 25 at Bowlers Club in Sauger­ties be­hind Sim­mons Plaza. 12:30 p.m. check-in. All bowlers will use last year’s aver­age. Qual­i­fiers will be held the last Sun­day of each month through March, lead­ing to the April 28 Cham­pi­onship Fi­nal (dates sub­ject to change). All bowlers re­ceive points for each tour­na­ment they par­tic­i­pate in. This is a hand­i­cap tour­na­ment. Sauger­ties Sports Hall of Fame: Seek­ing nom­i­na­tions for the 2019 in­duc­tion. If you know of any in­di­vid­ual(s) wor­thy of con­sid­er­a­tion, con­tact any cur­rent Hall of Fame mem­ber or email gchor­vas@sauger­ties. ny.us Nom­i­nee ques­tion­naires must be re­ceived no later than Nov. 10 for nom­i­nee to be placed on the bal­lot. The an­nual meet­ing and Top Ten Vote will be 11 a.m. Nov. 17 in the Off-Ice Train­ing room at the Ki­wa­nis Ice Arena. All cur­rent Hall of Fame mem­bers are en­cour­aged to at­tend and vote. Be­sides the vote, there will be other busi­ness, in­clud­ing the elec­tion of of­fi­cers.


Of­fi­cials Train­ing: The Ul­ster County Track and Field As­so­ci­a­tion is look­ing for per­sons who like to be­come an official. Prior track ex­pe­ri­ence is not nec­es­sary as train­ing will be pro­vided later this fall. In­ter­ested per­sons must be over 18 and not in high school. Costs as­so­ci­ated with mem­ber­ship: $40 for new mem­bers, BOCES charges for fin­ger­print­ing and uni­form shirt. Officiating in­cludes in­door track at West Point in the win­ter and out­door track in the Mid-Hud­son area in the spring. Yang Yin Yoga: 10:15-11:45 a.m. Mon­days and Fri­days at Moun­tain View Stu­dio, 20 Moun­tain View Ave., Wood­stock. This mixed-level class in­cor­po­rates vig­or­ous and stim­u­lat­ing strength-build­ing pos­tures for the first part of class, then tran­si­tions to calm­ing, flex­i­bil­ity-pro­mot­ing pos­tures for the sec­ond. The ses­sion fin­ishes with guided med­i­ta­tion for to­tal phys­i­cal and men­tal re­lax­ation. As you re­fine your phys­i­cal and men­tal skills through the yoga process, your body will feel bal­anced, i.e., stim­u­lated yet re­laxed, while your mind will be fo­cused and peace­ful. This class is not for ab­so­lute be­gin­ners. Stu­dents must know ba­sic yoga pos­tures. In­struc­tor is Les­lie Snow, who has taught yoga for seven years and been a per­sonal trainer for 10. With a back­ground in bal­let, run­ning and re­sis­tance train­ing, she has stud­ied mar­tial arts for the last eight years, achiev­ing a 2nd-de­gree black belt in Issh­in­ryu Karate. Cost: $15.
