BOWLING

Tournaments Tournament Club: Second qualifying event of the season 1 p.m. Nov. 25 at Bowlers Club in Saugerties behind Simmons Plaza. 12:30 p.m. check-in. All bowlers will use last year’s average. Qualifiers will be held the last Sunday of each month through March, leading to the April 28 Championship Final (dates subject to change). BOXING
Boxing Conditioning: Led by Tom Pignone, certified boxing instructor, at the Mountainview Studio, 20 Mountainview Ave., Woodstock. Tuesdays. Children ages 7-12 from 4:15-5 p.m.; teens 5-5:45 p.m.; adults from 6-7. You will need to bring clean gym footwear. We provide the rest. Suggested donation for youth $8 per class, adults $10. FENCING
Woodstock Fencing Club: Meets 6:30-9:30 p.m. Tuesdays in the Cafetorium at the Woodstock Elementary School (when school is open). Instruction given at all levels in all weapons — Foil, Sabre and Epee from 6:30-8. Practice and bouting. Fence dry or electric. It is a non-profit Club with volunteer instructors in Ron Zukor of Woodstock, David Osherow of Shokan, George T. Gallagher from Kingston, plus Elene Umberto Schoeps of Olivebridge. SOFTBALL
Saugerties Sports Hall of Fame: Seeking nominations for the 2019 induction. If you know of any individual(s) worthy of consideration, contact any current Hall of Fame member or email gchorvas@saugerties. ny.us Nominee questionnaires must be received no later than Nov. 10 for nominee to be placed on the ballot. The annual meeting and Top Ten Vote will be 11 a.m. Nov. 17 in the Off-Ice Training room at the Kiwanis Ice Arena. All current Hall of Fame members are encouraged to attend and vote. Besides the vote, there will be other business, including the election of officers.
TRACK AND FIELD
Officials Training: The Ulster County Track and Field Association is looking for persons who like to become an official. Prior track experience is not necessary as training will be provided later this fall. Interested persons must be over 18 and not in high school. Costs associated with membership: $40 for new members, BOCES charges for fingerprinting and uniform shirt. Officiating includes indoor track at West Point in the winter and outdoor track in the Mid-Hudson area in the spring. YOGA
Yang Yin Yoga: 10:15-11:45 a.m. Mondays and Fridays at Mountain View Studio, 20 Mountain View Ave., Woodstock. This mixed-level class incorporates vigorous and stimulating strength-building postures for the first part of class, then transitions to calming, flexibility-promoting postures for the second. The session finishes with guided meditation for total physical and mental relaxation. As you refine your physical and mental skills through the yoga process, your body will feel balanced, i.e., stimulated yet relaxed, while your mind will be focused and peaceful. This class is not for absolute beginners. Students must know basic yoga postures. Instructor is Leslie Snow, who has taught yoga for seven years and been a personal trainer for 10. With a background in ballet, running and resistance training, she has studied martial arts for the last eight years, achieving a 2nd-degree black belt in Isshinryu Karate. Cost: $15.
