Film , dis­cus­sion will ex­plore home care

ROSENDALE, N.Y. >> There will be a screen­ing of the doc­u­men­tary “Care” on Tues­day, Nov. 20, at 7:15 p.m. at Rosendale Theater, 408 Main St.

“Care” delves deep into the world of home el­der care through the eyes of both paid care­givers and their el­derly clients. There will also be a dis­cus­sion about home care in the Hud­son Val­ley for se­niors and peo­ple with dis­abil­i­ties.

Ad­mis­sion is on a slid­ing scale be­tween $5 to $10, al­though no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

The event is spon­sored by the New York Car­ing Ma­jor­ity, Hand in Hand and Statewide Se­nior Ac­tion Coun­cil.

Reser­va­tion dead­line nears for Thanks­giv­ing Lun­cheon

PHOENI­CIA, N.Y. >> Phoeni­cia Ele­men­tary School, 11 School Lane, will host its an­nual Se­nior Ci­ti­zen Thanks­giv­ing Lun­cheon on Thurs­day, Nov. 15, at 1:30 p.m.

The dead­line for reservations is Tues­day, Nov. 13. They can be made by call­ing (845) 688-5580.

Ki­wa­nis plans Se­nior Ci­ti­zen Holiday Din­ner

TOWN OF UL­STER, N.Y. >> The an­nual Se­nior Ci­ti­zen Holiday Din­ner spon­sored by the Ki­wa­nis Club of Ul­ster and Kingston will take place Satur­day, Dec. 8, at John A. Coleman Catholic High School, 430 Hurley Ave.

There will be seat­ngs at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Each seat­ing is lim­ited to 300. Those plan­ning to at­tend are asked to make reservations as soon as pos­si­ble. Reservations can be made by call­ing Mary Strasser at (845) 336-5959.

Bus trans­porta­tion could be avail­able. Ar­range­ments for bus trans­porta­tion must be made when mak­ing reservations.

Se­nior groups list meet­ing sched­ules

LAKE KA­TRINE, N.Y. >> The Town of Ul­ster Se­nior Club will meet Thurs­day, Nov. 15, at the Town of Ul­ster Se­nior Cen­ter, 1 Town Hall Drive.

Re­fresh­ments will be served at 12:30 p.m. The meet­ing starts at 1 p.m.

The an­nual elec­tion of of­fi­cers for the com­ing year will take place.

The group’s meet­ings are a time for friend­ship, so­cial­iza­tion and the shar­ing of ideas. New mem­bers are al­ways wel­come. Af­ter the meet­ings, those who wish may stayto play Bingo.

Monthly meet­ings take place on the sec­ond Wed­nes­day of the month at 1 p.m. The meet­ings be­gin with a guest speaker and for­mal for­mat, fol­lowed by a raf­fle, so­cial­iz­ing and re­fresh­ments. There is also a card game or bingo for those who wish to par­tic­i­pate. New mem­bers are wel­come. The Town of Rosendale Se­niors will have a so­cial meet­ing on Wed­nes­day, Nov. 14, at 1 p.m. at the Rosendale Recre­ation

Cen­ter, 1055 state Route 32. Bingo will be played, fol­lowed by re­fresh­ments. The ex­ec­u­tive board meet­ing will meet Wed­nes­day, Nov. 24, at 10:30 a.m. at the cen­ter, fol­lowed by a busi­ness meet­ing at 1 p.m. Reservations are now be­ing taken for Christ­mas Party on Wed­nes­day, Dec. 12, at noon at Frank Guido’s Lit­tle Italy in Kingston. The
