John D. Relyea Jr., 58, of Shandaken
SHANDAKEN >> John D. Relyea Jr., 58, of Old Route 28, Shandaken, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018, at home.
Born March 11, 1960, in Kingston, he was the son of the late John D. Sr. and Marlene T. (Hamilton) Relyea.
A carpenter by trade, John was employed by M/E Manufacturing in the Assembly Department and had been previously employed by Coca-Cola in Orlando, Fla., as a supervisor. He loved his pets, enjoyed hunting and fishing, was a fan of the New York Giants, the New York Mets, and NASCAR racing.
Surviving are his brother, Joseph Relyea; his sister, Bonnie Sharot; his nieces and nephews, Sabrina Flores, Heather Durcan, Joseph Relyea Jr., and Sean Sharot; his aunt and uncle, Karen and Dennis Oulton; and his companion, Ardith Ricci. Many grandnieces and nephews also survive.
Arrangements are under the guidance of Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home Inc., 27 Smith Ave., Kingston. The Relyea family will receive friends for a Period of Remembrance on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.
