Rozzi scores 37 to lead High­land past Red Hook

HIGH­LAND, N.Y. >> Bri Rozzi scored a ca­reer-high 37 points, 17 of them in the fourth quar­ter, and grabbed 15 re­bounds to lift High­land past Red Hook 51-47 in a Mid-Hud­son Ath­letic League girls bas­ket­ball game Fri­day.

Brid­gette Carle pitched in 9 points and 8 re­bounds for the Huskies.

Erin Hare scored 19 points, 11 of them in the fourth quar­ter, and Chrissy Gilder­sleeve con­trib­uted 13 for the Raiders.

On­te­ora 51, El­lenville 29.

At Boiceville, the Ea­gles rode a 43-20 ad­van­tage at the end of the third quar­ter to an easy vic­tory over the Devils.

Juli­ette Pat­ter­son led On­te­ora (4-3), putting up a dou­ble-dou­ble (17 points, 11 re­bounds) while Ash­ley Hil­lard and Mon­roe Maki each con­trib­uted 8 points and com­bined for 7 steals, and Ni­cole Lane added 6 points and 4 steals.

Wal­lkill 53, Min­isink Val­ley 42

At Slate Hill, Emma Spindler scored 14 points and Bri­anna Cross con­trib­uted 10 as the Pan­thers rode a 17-9 run in the fourth quar­ter to vic­tory over the War­riors in a non-league con­test.

Wal­lkill was on top 3633 head­ing into the fi­nal pe­riod of play after a closely con­tested third quar­ter. The Pan­thers led 19-18 at the half after go­ing on an 11-6 run in the second that erased an early 12-8 deficit.

Emma Schawarzbeck added 8 points to the Pan­thers ef­fort.

Katie Burke scored 15 points and Macken­zie Tresch tacked on 11 for the War­riors.

Wal­lkill will host Sauger­ties on Tuesday.
