KISKATOM >> Alfred “Al” W. Comito, 76, of Kiskatom passed away on Jan. 9, 2019.

Al was born in Manhattan,; a son of the late Frank and Sara Cook Keenan. He moved to this area at age 3. He married Edythe “Edie” Mariani 54 years ago.

For 34 years, Al was a State Farm Insurance agent in Columbia and Greene counties. He was a life member of Elks Lodge 1341, Catskill, and Kiskatom Fire Department. A Republican committeem­an in Kiskatom, Al was a former president of the Catskill Lions Club and a parishione­r of Sacred Heart Church, Palenville.

Beloved husband of Edie Comito; loving father of Mary Comito of Roseland,

N.J., Michael Comito of Middletown, and Susan Comito Kinkead of Brooklyn; brother of Joseph Comito (Lorraine) of Blue Mountain; grandfathe­r of Kaitlyn Augustine (Zachary) and Victoria Comito; and great-grandfathe­r of Zachary Michael Augustine. Many nephews and nieces with whom Al was very close, cousins, and friends survive.

Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Millspaugh Camerato Funeral Home, 139 Jefferson Hgts., Catskill.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Palenville. Interment will be in Palenville Cemetery.
