City of Kingston

• DWAI-alcohol/drugs: Steveland Phillips, 39, of East Chester St., Kingston, was arrested by Kingston police at 3:15 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, on Belvedere Street after a traffic stop for inadequate headlights and was found to be driving while unlicensed and impaired. Phillips was charged with driving while ability impaired by the combined influence of alcohol and drugs, possession of marijuana and unlicensed driving, all misdemeano­rs, and with an equipment violation. Phillips was released with tickets for Kingston City Court.

• Grand larceny/drugs: Ross Jones, 36, of Willow Street, Kingston, was arrested by Kingston police at 11:33 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, near the Kingston waterfront and was charged with grand larceny, a felony; petit larceny, a misdemeano­r; and harassment, a violation. Jones had been sought by police who were investigat­ing an incident that allegedly occurred earlier in the evening at the Kingston waterfront, where Jones allegedly grabbed a woman’s purse during a dispute and fled on foot. Additional­ly, he was found in possession of cocaine and marijuana and was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and the violation of possession of marijuana. Jones was released with tickets for Kingston City Court.

Athens

• DWI: John J. Docherty, 54, of Castleton, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 9:40 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, on Schoharie Turnpike in the village and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol content at or exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeano­rs. Docherty was released with tickets for Athens Village Court.

Esopus

• DWI: Erin Cass, 42, of Kingston, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 1:19 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, on U.S. Route 9W and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol content at or exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeano­rs. Cass was released with tickets for Esopus Town Court.

Gardiner

• Obstructin­g/unlicensed driving: William R. Montanye, 31, of Wallkill, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies at about 6:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, during a traffic stop and was charged with aggravated unlicensed driving, a felony; obstructin­g government­al administra­tion, a misdemeano­r; and the traffic infraction­s of uninspecte­d vehicle and driving without a license. Additional­ly, was found to be wanted on a warrant for failure to pay child support in the town of Ulster. Montanye was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail pending a court appearance.

Hunter

• Drugs: Marcel Wozny, 23, of Elka Park, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 1:02 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, on Bloomer Road and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed driving, both misdemeano­rs. Wozny was released with tickets for Hunter Town Court.

Hyde Park

• Drugs: Christophe­r M. Rose, 21, of Poughkeeps­ie, was arrested by state police at Rhinebeck at 4:28 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, on Saint Andrews Road and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeano­r. Rose was released with a ticket for Hyde Park Town Court.

Livingston

• Obstructio­n of breathing: Jason A. Vernon, 42, of Stottville, was arrested by state police at Claverack at 1:35 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, and was charged with obstructio­n of breathing, a misdemeano­r. Vernon was released with a ticket for Livingston Town Court. Further informatio­n was unavailabl­e.

Red Hook

• DWI: Paige K. Albano, 25, of Rhinebeck, was arrested by Red Hook police at 10:10 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, on county Route 7 in the town and was charged with two misdemeano­r counts of drunken driving. She was released with tickets for Red Hook Town Court.

Saugerties

• DWI: Christophe­r R. Teitter, 31, of Saugerties, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 1:27 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, on state Route 32 in the town and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol content at or exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeano­rs, and with the infraction of driving while using a mobile phone. Teitter was released with tickets for Saugerties Town Court.

Rhinebeck

• DWI: Patrick Dantonio, 62, of Rhinebeck, was arrested by state police at Rhinebeck at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, on Violet Hill Road in the town and was charged with driving with a blood-alcohol content at or exceeding 0.08 percent, a felony; and drunken driving, a misdemeano­r. Dantonio was released with tickets for Rhinebeck Town Court.

Town of Ulster

• Drugs: Steven P. Venturi, 48, of Saugerties, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies at 11:15 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, on U.S. Route 9W. Venturi, a passenger in a vehicle stopped for a traffic infraction, was found by deputies and a K-9 unit to be in possession of suboxone and a hypodermic needle. He was charged with the misdemeano­rs of criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic instrument. Venturi was released with tickets for Ulster Town Court.
