Pet contest deadline is today

The deadline to enter for the Freeman’s 15th annual pet contest is Sunday.

Interested participants can submit nominations by using our online form at dailyfreeman.com/contest/ and simply follow the instructions.

The best photos will be published in print on Feb. 17 and online accompanied by a brief description. Online slideshows will accompany the feature.

The categories for the 15th Daily Freeman Pet Contest are “Best looking pet,” “Pet pals,” “Best facial expression,” “Best outfit,” “Weirdest pet,” “Owner-pet look-alike” and “Best photo composition.”

Nominations must include:

• A single recent photo: color jpg file no larger than 5mb and no smaller than 500kb. Blurry images will not be considered.

• Name of the pet with a brief description.

• Breed (if known), age and type of animal (i.e. cat, bird etc.)

• The owner’s name, address and contact information.

• The name of the pet with a brief description. Make sure to include breed, age and type of animal;

• The owner’s name, town of residence and daytime contact information.

Photos should show the pets alone (unless submission is for “Owner-pet lookalike” category).

Entries are limited to one per household.
