Rhinebeck vil­lage elec­tion set for March 19

The an­nual Rhinebeck vil­lage elec­tion will take place on Tues­day, Mar. 19.

Vot­ing will take place from noon to 9 p.m. at the Rhinebeck Town Hall, 80 East Mar­ket St. The build­ing is hand­i­capped ac­ces­si­ble.

Reg­is­tered vil­lage vot­ers will vote for three can­di­dates: one may­oral can­di­date to serve a two-year term and two trustee can­di­dates to serve two-year terms.

The can­di­dates seek­ing of­fice are: Gary Bas­sett, of 6 Somers Drive, for mayor; Richard Lewitt, of 39 Lorraine Drive, for trustee; and Paul Kor­czak, of 29 Lo­cust Grove Road, for trustee.

Ab­sen­tee bal­lots are avail­able at the Vil­lage Of­fice, 76 East Mar­ket St., or on­line at https://ecode360.com/doc­u­ments/RH1002/ pub­lic/475588938.pdf. Ap­pli­ca­tions must be re­turned to the Vil­lage Of­fice by Mar. 12 if they are mailed or by Mar. 19 if de­liv­ered in per­son.

All vot­ers for the vil­lage elec­tions must be reg­is­tered with the Dutchess County Board of Elec­tions by Mar. 8.
