Rhinebeck village election set for March 19
The annual Rhinebeck village election will take place on Tuesday, Mar. 19.
Voting will take place from noon to 9 p.m. at the Rhinebeck Town Hall, 80 East Market St. The building is handicapped accessible.
Registered village voters will vote for three candidates: one mayoral candidate to serve a two-year term and two trustee candidates to serve two-year terms.
The candidates seeking office are: Gary Bassett, of 6 Somers Drive, for mayor; Richard Lewitt, of 39 Lorraine Drive, for trustee; and Paul Korczak, of 29 Locust Grove Road, for trustee.
Absentee ballots are available at the Village Office, 76 East Market St., or online at https://ecode360.com/documents/RH1002/ public/475588938.pdf. Applications must be returned to the Village Office by Mar. 12 if they are mailed or by Mar. 19 if delivered in person.
All voters for the village elections must be registered with the Dutchess County Board of Elections by Mar. 8.
