Fellowship hosts talk on climate change
The Social Justice Committee of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Poughkeepsie will host a presentation on climate change on Sunday, Feb. 24.
The presentation will begin at 2 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 67 S. Randolph Ave. Manna Jo Greene, environmental director for the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater and chairwoman of the Ulster County Climate Smart Committee, will explore solutions to the global climate crisis in the Hudson Valley and beyond, according to a press release. Her presentation will include using the four principles of the Natural Step (what we “take, make, break, and fake”) to help understand the climate crisis and prepare for its consequences.
Greene, an Ulster County legislator from Rosendale, will also explore how to create more resilient local communities.
The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
