Rondout Valley sweeps Hudson Invitational

Both Rondout Valley High track and field teams were victorious at Saturday’s Hudson Invitational at Hudson High School.

The Rondout girls won with a team score of 130, while the boys racked up 204 points.

On the girls side, Bryce Hopper took first in the 3000 meter (12:12.38) while Paige Bogart won the 100 hurdles (17.86).

The Rondout girls also won the 400 relay (53.00).

The Rondout boys were led by Adam Fares and Isaiah Jones, who were both double winners. Fares took first in the 100 (11.98) and 200 (23.20), while Jones won the shot put (41-08.5) and discus (145-05).

Also winning for the Ganders were Liam Brantmeyer in the high jump (5-10), Chris Dorney in the pole vault (10-06), Marcus Ford in the long jump (21-05.5), and Tyler Tomlin in the triple jump (41-10).

Red Hook, meanwhile, finished third in both the boys and girls team rankings.

Sheena Dwyer-McNulty was a double winner in the 1500 (5:14.78) and 2000 steeplechase (7:43.35), while Kelcie Horst won the 400 hurdles (1:12.33).

The Raiders girls also won both the 1600 (4:30.22) and 3200 (10:53.43) relays.

On the boys side, David Factor won the 400 (52.77), while Red Hook’s boys 3200 relay (8:47.42) team took first place.

Elsewhere, Pine Plains finished fourth in the boys rankings and fifth in the girls.

Autumn Prezzano was the lone winner on the girls side for the Bombers, taking first in the pole vault (7-06).
