FOUR AREA RESIDENTS
Jacob D. Pesko of Woodstock, Jonathan R. Long of Wallkill, Lucy B. Paterson of Rhinebeck and Leah M. Wachsmuth of Poughkeepsie — graduated from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa., on May 20.
Pesko graduated, magna cum laude, with a bachelor of arts degree in international business and management. He was also named to the dean’s list. A Kingston High School graduate, he is the son of Joseph and Dawn Pesko of Woodstock.
Long graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in theatre arts and history. He was also named the recipient of the Gould Memorial Drama Prize. A Wallkill High School graduate, he is the son of Dale and Tina Long of Wallkill.
Paterson graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in art and art history. A Ridgewood High School graduate, she is the daughter of Lisa Paterson of Ridgewood, N.J.
Wachsmuth graduated, magna cum laude, with a bachelor of science degree in biochemistry and molecular biology. She was also named to the dean’s list. A Roy C. Ketcham High School graduate, she is the daughter of Bert Wachsmuth and Silke von der Emde of Poughkeepsie.
••• Morgan A. Aldrich of Milton was named to the president’s list at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, S.C., for the spring semester.
Students earn president’s list status by achieving a 4.0 grade point average.
Aldrich is majoring in exercise and sports science.
••• Anna Sophia Gray of Kingston was named to the dean’s list with highest honors at the University of New Hampshire in Durham for the spring semester.
Students earn dean’s list with highest honors status by achieving a grade point average of 3.85 or higher.
••• Three area residents — Neha Patel of Kingston, Mason Rothe of Saugerties and Kathryn Harley of Wallkill — were named to the provost’s list at Hofstra University in Hempstead for the spring semester.
Students earn dean’s list status by achieving a 4.0 grade point average.
Three area residents — Kamryn Ilgner of Saugerties, Ashley Higby of Cottekill and Carly Newman of Rhinebeck — were named to the dean’s list at Hofstra University for the spring semester.

A 2017 Kington High School graduate, he is the son of Mary and Tom Ott of Kingston.
••• Nine area residents — Cindy Jiang of Kingston, Matthew Baker and Rian Baker, both of Hurley; Lea Maney of New Paltz, Rosalind Bendell of Gardiner, Allison Ryan of Shandaken, Max Cutugno of West Park, Kiara Cruickshank of Big Indian and Karim Ahmed of Red Hook — were named presidential scholars at Clarkson University in Potsdam for the spring semester.
Students earn presidential scholar status by achieving a grade point average of 3.8 or higher.
Jiang is a chemical engineering major. Matthew Baker and Ryan are both majoring in electrical engineering. Rian Baker and Bendell are both majoring in mechanical engineering. Maney is majoring in biology. Cutugno is majoring in computer engineering. Cruickshank is majoring in biomolecular science. Ahmed is majoring in engineering and management.
Five area residents — Joe Ciccone and Alfred Worrad, both of Highland; Ryan Clark of Boiceville, Michael Valleau of Wallkill and Gabrielle Meyerson of Pine Bush — were named to the dean’s list at Clarkson University for the spring semester.
Students earn dean’s list status by achieving a grade point average of 3.25 to 3.79.
Ciccone and Worrad are both majoring in chemical engineering. Clark is an aeronautical engineering major. Valleau is a mechanical engineering major. Meyerson is an environmental engineering major.
