Town of Ulster LAW & DISORDER
The following items are based on information provided by officials in law enforcement and the criminal justice system:
• Drugs, tampering with evidence, resisting arrest: Cody T. Gilmore, 24, of Kingston, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 9:20 p.m. Sunday, July 14, and was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a narcotic and tampering with evidence, all felonies; obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors; and with disorderly conduct, a violation. He was ordered held pending a town court appearance.
Hyde Park
• Drugs: Jonathan DeMichiel, 23, of Staatsburg, was arrested by state police at Rhinebeck at 2:25 p.m. Sunday, July 14, on U.S. Route 9 and was charged with possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. He was issued an appearance ticket for Hyde Park Town Court.
Lloyd
• Burglary, assault, strangulation: Charles E. Smiling, 45, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested by Lloyd police on a warrant Friday, July 12, and was charged with burglary, assault and strangulation, all felonies, stemming from a domestic abuse incident during which police said Smiling entered a 29-year-old Highland woman’s apartment and assaulted her, causing serious facial injuries. He was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
Milan
• Drugs: Lionel Salcedo, 32, of Woodhaven, was arrested by state police at Rhinebeck at 8:27 a.m. Sunday, July 14, and was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana, both misdemeanors, following a traffic stop on the Taconic State Parkway. He was issued appearance tickets for Milan Town Court.
Town of Rochester
• Obstruction of breathing: Jennifer L. Pallante, 39, of Kerhonkson, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 11:47 p.m. Sunday, July 14, at 26 Ridgeview Road and was charged with obstruction of breathing, a misdemeanor, and with harassment, a violation. She was issued appearance tickets for Rochester Town Court.
