The following items are based on information provided by officials in law enforcement and the criminal justice system.
City of Kingston
• Aggravated driving without a license: Kevin Drake, 29, of Kingston, was arrested at 3:35 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, at the intersection of Bond Street and Broadway by state police at Ulster and charged with aggravated driving without a license and obstruction of governmental administration, both misdemeanors, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. He was released with tickets to appear at Kingston City Court.
• Drugs: April L. Pond, 38, of Kingston, was arrested on Monday, July 15, on Boulevard by the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and several traffic violations. She was released with tickets to appear at Kingston City Court.
• Drugs: Vernon M. Williams, 59, of Kingston, was arrested on Tuesday, July 16, on Broadway by the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and a traffic infraction. He was released with tickets to appear at Kingston City Court.
Gardiner
• Grand larceny: Ryan T. Lauchaire, 37, of New Paltz, was arrested at 8:46 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24, on U.S. Route 44/state Route 55 by state police at Gardiner and charged with grand larceny, a felony. He was released with a ticket to appear at Gardiner Town Court.
Town of Kingston
• DWI: Stephen B. Young, 76, of Bearsville, was arrested at about 6:40 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, on Sawkill Road by the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office. Young, who authorities say was involved in a two-car accident, was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood alcohol content at or exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors, and a traffic infraction. He was released with tickets to appear at Kingston Town Court.
Livingston
• Grand larceny: Jose Antonetti, 37, of the Bronx, was arrested at 5:05 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, on U.S. Route 9 by state police at New Lebanon and charged with grand larceny, a felony. He was arraigned and remanded to Columbia County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail, pending a court appearance.
Lloyd
• Drugs: Benjamin S. Blate, 24, of Walden, was arrested at 10:05 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24, on U.S. Route 9W by state police at Highland and charged with criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. He was released with tickets to appear at Lloyd Town Court.
Olive
• Criminal contempt: Reza Sanat, 43, of Kingston, was arrested on Wednesday, July 17, in the town of Olive by the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office for violating a court order of protection. He was arraigned at Hurley Town Court and released on his own recognizance, pending an appearance at Olive Town Court.
Rhinebeck
• DWI: Kevin P. McHugh, 51, of Rhinebeck, was arrested at 8:36 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24, at the intersection of state routes 308 and 199 by state police
at Rhinebeck and charged with drunken driving, aggravated drunken driving and aggravated driving without a license, all misdemeanors. He was released with tickets to appear at Rhinebeck Town Court.
Saugerties
• Attempted assault: Charlene Harucki, 33, of Saugerties, was arrested about 7:20 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, on Partition Street by Saugerties police and charged with attempted assault, menacing, criminal obstruction of breathing and criminal
possession of a weapon, all misdemeanors. In a domestic dispute, authorities say Harucki kicked the accuser, swung a hammer at him, choked him, bit him, and kicked him down the stairs. The accuser, who sustained injuries to his back, was treated at the scene by Diaz Ambulance paramedics. Harucki was arraigned at Woodstock Town Court. The court issued an order of protection and released Harucki on her own recognizance, pending a further court appearance.
Town of Ulster
• DWI: Joshua J. Gilbert, 32, of Kingston, was arrested at 8:39 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, on state Route 28 by state police
at Ulster and charged with aggravated drunken driving with a child, a felony, and drunken driving, a misdemeanor. He was released with tickets to appear at Town of Ulster Court.
• Menacing: Anthony M. Palmucci, 25, of Rifton, was arrested at about 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 14, on Sandy Road by Ulster County Sheriff’s deputies and charged with menacing and criminal trespass, both misdemeanors. Authorities say Palmucci hid in a resident’s garage and, upon being confronted by the homeowner, allegedly threatened and attacked the owner before fleeing into a wooded area. Palmucci was tracked and apprehended
by a K9 dog, Dozer, authorities added. Palmucci was transported from the scene to Health Alliance of the Hudson Valley, Broadway Campus, for minor injuries. He was arraigned in Town of Ulster Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.
• DWI: Sergio J. PerezArredondo, 39, of Germantown, was arrested at about 3 a.m. on Sunday, July 21, by the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office and charged with drunken driving, driving with a blood alcohol content at or exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors, and several traffic infractions. He was released with tickets to appear at Town of Ulster Court.
