The following items are based on information provided by officials in law enforcement and the criminal justice system:
Cairo
• Drugs: Kyle S. Novotny, 25, of Coxsackie, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 11:40 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16, on McLaren Road Extension and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, a felony. Novotny was released pending an appearance in Cairo Town Court.
Catskill
• Robbery: Jessica L. Schnauber, 30, of Catskill, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 11:02 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16, on U.S. Route 9W and was charged with robbery, a felony, and criminal mischief (preventing an emergency call), a misdemeanor. She was later released on $1,000 bond, pending an appearance in Catskill Town Court.
Hunter
• DWI: Joseph M. Menzie, 68, of Elka Park, was arrested on state Route 23A in the town of Hunter at 12:01 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors. He was released with a court appearance ticket.
Livingston
• DWI: Kathleen Charbonneau, 63, of Maplecrest, was arrested by state police at Claverack at 8:10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, on state Route 82 and was charged with drunken driving, a misdemeanor, and with two traffic infractions. She was released to a third party with tickets to appear in Livingston Town Court.
Lloyd
• Drugs: John M. Federighi, 32, of Salt Point, was arrested by state police at Highland at 2:50 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, on U.S. Route 9W and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. He was released with a ticket to appear at Lloyd Town Court.
• DWI: Melanie N. McCray, 23, of Newburgh, was arrested by state police at Highland at 3:20 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17 on U.S. Route 44/state Route 55 and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood alcohol level at or exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors, and two traffic infractions. She was released with tickets to appear in Lloyd Town Court.
Saugerties
• Drugs: Robert A. Drumm, 53, of Saugerties, was arrested by Saugerties Police on Friday, Aug. 16, on Malden Turnpike and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal mischief, both misdemeanors. Police said Drumm allegedly damaged a coworker’s windshield during an argument. Police found Drumm in possession of the drug Clonazepam, a drug used to control seizures, for which he did not have a prescription. Drumm was released with tickets to appear in Saugerties Town Court.
• Grand larceny: Alan T. Wojcio, 34, of Saugerties, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 7:45 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, on Post Street and was charged with grand larceny, a felony. He was released with a court appearance ticket. Further information was unavailable.
