Kingston wins sixth straight in regular-season finale

Kingston High finished the regular season on a high note by extending its winning streak to six in girls swimming and diving Friday with a 106-77 victory over Minisink Valley in an Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association meet.

Mallory Sullivan led the Tigers with wins in the individual medley (2:28.76) and the 100-yard freestyle (59.24).

Also earning individual wins for Kingston were Eleanora Meyer (200 free), Emily McCord (500 free) and Isabella Amaro (100 back).

Kingston also took first in the 200 free relay.

Kingston, which defeated Newburgh Free Academy on Wednesday and Roosevelt on Oct. 10, finishes the season 10-2.

The Tigers are back in action next week with the OCIAA championships. Diving is Thursday, Oct. 24, at Cornwall and the Division I meet is Friday, Oct. 25, at Washingtonville.
