City of Kingston

• DWI: Giles J. Prendergas­t, 47, of Kingston, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 1:26 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 25, on Schwenk Drive and charged with the misdemeano­rs of driving with a blood-alcohol content at or exceeding 0.08 percent, drunken driving and aggravated drunken driving, and with the infraction­s of failing to keep right, failing to obey a traffic device, moving from lane unsafely and failing to use signal lights. Prendergas­t was released with tickets for Kingston City Court.

Hyde Park

• Contempt: Dorothy L. Holder, 62, of Hyde Park, was arrested by state police at Rhinebeck at 8:54 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, and charged with two misdemeano­r counts of contempt and the violation of harassment (physical). Holder’s status was unavailabl­e

Saugerties

• DWAI-drugs: Sarah F. Olsen, 36, of 3127 state Route 212, Saugerties, was arrested by Saugerties police at 4:01 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, on state Route 212 in the town and charged with the misdemeano­r of driving while ability-impaired by drugs. She was released with a ticket for Saugerties Town Court.

• DWAI-drugs: Garreth M Clancy, 32, of 1120 state Route 20, Cairo, was arrested by Saugerties police at 5:52 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 25, on state Route 32 in the town after a onevehicle crash and charged with the misdemeano­rs of driving while ability impaired by drugs and possession of a controlled substance. Clancy was driving a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee north on Route 32 when he smashed into a guardrail and then allegedly kept driving against the rail for about one half mile before veering off onto the shoulder of the road. He allegedly told officers he had consumed drugs prior to the crash. A search of Clancy and his vehicle also allegedly led police to the discovery of several controlled substances. Clancy was released with tickets for Saugerties Town Court.
