Rhinebeck library schedules book sale
WHAT: Book sale WHEN: Thursday, March 12 (preview night), from 5 to 7 p.m.; Friday, March 13, from 2 to 7 p.m., Saturday, March 14, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, March 15 (bag day), from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
WHERE: Clinton Community Library, 1215 Centre Road, Rhinebeck
DETAILS: The library is currently accepting book donations for its upcoming sale. Books can be brought in during open library hours, Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fridays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is asked that only books that are clean and in good, sellable condition be donated. Books that are in poor condition will not be accepted. Encyclopedias, textbooks and VHS tapes will also not be accepted. People who have large donations should call ahead. The sale will include a variety of titles for adults, teens and children. On preview night, people who pay a $10 entry fee will have an early opportunity to buy books. On the final day of the sale, March 15, people can fill a bag of books for $5.

Woodstock Library Forum wraps up twopart program
WHAT: Woodstock Library Forum event
WHEN: Saturday, Feb. 8, from 5 to 6 p.m.
WHERE: Woodstock Library, 5 Library Lane, Woodstock
DETAILS: The program, the second of two parts, is based on Evan Pritchard’s book “Music for a Troubled Nation: 1967 and The Rise of a New Consciousness.” Those who missed the first session of this talk will have no problem following along. Pritchard’s multimedia presentation will be accompanied by guitarist Bruce Edwards and his partner vocalist Rachel.
