Rhinebeck library schedules book sale

WHAT: Book sale WHEN: Thursday, March 12 (preview night), from 5 to 7 p.m.; Friday, March 13, from 2 to 7 p.m., Saturday, March 14, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, March 15 (bag day), from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

WHERE: Clinton Community Library, 1215 Centre Road, Rhinebeck

DETAILS: The library is currently accepting book donations for its upcoming sale. Books can be brought in during open library hours, Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fridays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is asked that only books that are clean and in good, sellable condition be donated. Books that are in poor condition will not be accepted. Encycloped­ias, textbooks and VHS tapes will also not be accepted. People who have large donations should call ahead. The sale will include a variety of titles for adults, teens and children. On preview night, people who pay a $10 entry fee will have an early opportunit­y to buy books. On the final day of the sale, March 15, people can fill a bag of books for $5.

Woodstock Library Forum wraps up twopart program

WHAT: Woodstock Library Forum event

WHEN: Saturday, Feb. 8, from 5 to 6 p.m.

WHERE: Woodstock Library, 5 Library Lane, Woodstock

DETAILS: The program, the second of two parts, is based on Evan Pritchard’s book “Music for a Troubled Nation: 1967 and The Rise of a New Consciousn­ess.” Those who missed the first session of this talk will have no problem following along. Pritchard’s multimedia presentati­on will be accompanie­d by guitarist Bruce Edwards and his partner vocalist Rachel.
