Clegg’s prevails over the Knicks 75-73 in overtime

Clegg’s prevailed 75-73 over the Knicks in overtime in a Kingston Recreation League Men’s Over 30 A division Basketball game.

The game was closely contested throughout with the Knicks finishing the first half with a one-point lead. The two squads would battle to a 68-68 draw at the end of regulation forcing the OT period.

Davonne Dunlap notched 20 points, Alfonoso Knox tossed in 18, Rob Shaw had 15 and Jordan Shaw tacked on 10 to lead Clegg’s.

Matt Stote (29 points), Alex Meyer (18) and Connor Maisch (11) carried the Knicks.

Kevin Peagram scored 35 points, but it wasn’t enough for the Panthers as they fell to Johnson & Johnson 6559 in other A Division action.

The Panthers recovered in the second half to cut a 13-point halftime deficit, but the rally came up short and Johnson & Johnson came away with the win.

Ronnell Epps scored 23 points and Bubba Bryant put up 22 to lead Johnson.

Cornerston­e Remodeling rolled to a 41-26 lead at the half, and never looked back as they defeated KPF 70-57 in B Division play.

John Garcia notched 17 points, Chris DeForest scored 14, Cordal Johnson contribute­d 12 and Rob Smith added 11 to lead Cornerston­e.

Jae Lall (16 points), Omar Morales (15), Matt Klun (13) and James Jones (12) led Xone 19 to a 72-70 in a A and B Division crossover game.

The contest was closely contested throughout with the two teams playing to a 35-35 draw at the half.
