Town of Poughkeeps­ie

• Theft: John L. Zehnick, 33, and Rose R. Jones, 36, both of Kingston, were arrested by Poughkeeps­ie town police at 8:41 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, and were each charged with grand larceny, a felony, after police responded to a report of a theft at Home Depot, 3470 North Road. Police said the suspects had driven away but were found a short time later. Officers found assorted power tools valued at $2,378 in the vehicle. Both suspects were issued appearance tickets for Town of Poughkeeps­ie Court.

Town of Hunter

• DWI: Daniel R. Roberti, 45, of Lanesville, was arrested by state police at Hunter at 8:50 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, on state Route 214 in the town of Hunter and was charged with drunken driving and aggravated drunken driving, both misdemeano­rs. Roberti was issued an appearance ticket for Hunter Town Court.

Town of Rochester

• DWI: Michael G. Frasca, 60, of Olivebridg­e, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 8:50 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, on Samsonvill­e Road and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeano­rs. He was issued an appearance ticket for Rochester Town Court.

Saugerties

• Criminal mischief: Robert A. Guarino, 38, of 38 Fortune Valley Lane,

Saugerties, was arrested by Saugerties police at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, and was charged with criminal mischief, a felony. Officers had responded to the Anderson Schools for Autism at the same address to check on Guarino’s welfare after he had called Ulster County 911 and hung up, followed by a complaint from staff members that Guarino had used a rock to break the front and rear windshield­s of a transport van belonging to the facility. Guarino was issued a court appearance ticket and placed in the custody of the Anderson School.

• DWI-drugs: Gideon B. Ford Jr., 29, of 130 Timberwall Road, Saugerties, was arrested by Saugerties police at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, and was charged with driving while intoxicate­d by a combinatio­n of drugs, a felony; criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument, a misdemeano­r; and failure to keep right, a traffic violation. Police said Ford had been involved in a one-vehicle accident in which thes 2019 Nissan Sentra he was driving struck an embankment along Fishcreek Road in Saugerties. Ford was released to a third party with an appearance ticket for Saugerties Town Court.
