The following items are based on information provided by officials in law enforcement and the criminal justice system:

Athens

• Drugs: April M. Pruiksma, 48, of Coxsackie, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 1:39a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, and was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance (cocaine). Pruiksma was released with a ticket for Athens Town Court.

Cairo

• DWI: Mathew E. Coons, 21, of New York City, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 5:51 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol content at or exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors. Coons was released with tickets for Cairo Town Court.

Esopus

• Drugs: Jeffrey A. Bonesteel, 20, of Kingston, was arrested by state police at Highland at 3:10p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, and was charged with possession of a controlled substance (hallucinogen), criminal use of drug paraphernalia (diluents), criminal use of drug paraphernalia (scales) and possession of more than two ounces of marijuana, all misdemeanors. Bonesteel was released with tickets for Esopus Town Court.

Saugerties

• Drugs: Matthew J. Bushey, 38, of Lake Katrine, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 8:40 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol content at or exceeding 0.08percent, both misdemeanors. Bushey was released with tickets for Saugerties

Town Court.
