DORIS S. DAVIS

ACCORD-Doris S. Davis, 95, formerly of Accord died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021 at Golden Hill Health and Rehabilitation center. Born Aug. 7, 1925, a daughter of the late Burr and Laura (Moe) Elmendorf. A graduate of Kingston High School class of 1944. Doris then graduated from Moran School of Business in 1945. She worked for a local Insurance company in Kingston then took a position as a legal secretary for The Attorney; Abe Streifer. While working at The Law rm she took the civil service exam and became the secretary at The Veterans Administration until 1952 when her rst son Stephen was born. She also served as the librarian at the Grace Community Church for 15 years. Surviving are two sons; Stephen G. Davis and his wife Valerie, and Wesley K. Davis. A sister Beverly Elmendorf. Grandchildren; Anthony, Neal, Jeromy Davis, and Christine Smith and her husband James. Great-grandchildren; Xavier, Danae, Randall, Joshua, Jesse, Emma, Sebastien, Katelyn Smith, and Natalie Smith. Nieces and nephews also survive. Her husband Kenneth Davis died in 2004, a brother Clarence and sister Frances Elmendorf and daughter in law Sharon Davis also predeceased her. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of Joseph V.
