TILLSON-Duncan Scott Bey Sr., 78, passed away into the Lord’s hands on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021 at the Thompson House in Rhinebeck, N.Y. of natural causes. He was born June 9, 1942 in Brooklyn, N.Y. a son of the late Duncan Coot Bey and Elizabeth Whitett Bey. He was the longtime companion of the late Patricia Rowe. Duncan who was affectiona­tely known as Scott graduated from Elizabthto­wn High School. After graduation Scott enlisted in the U.S. Army serving from 1963 to 1967 during the Vietnam War. He later went to work for AT&T serving as an engineer/ specialist. Scott was a veteran and member of Rosendale Tillson American Legion Post 1219, also a reghter, a pilot, a woodworker and talented jack of all trades. He was an adventurer, he enjoyed hunting, shing and nature. He loved a challenge and loved to build things. Scott worked until three years ago when illness forced him to retire. Scott and his former wife Betty also owned B & S Handy Shop in Rosendale for many years. He is survived by Betty (Ursin) Bey, his children, Lori, Wanda, Diane, Luane, Joseph, Jack, and Duncan Scott Bey Jr. (Ingrid Bey), his grandchild­ren Daniel, Randy, Deanna, Matthew, William, Brianna, Ryan and Kyle. Also survived by many greatgrand­children and many very dear friends. In keeping with Scott’s wishes services and cremation will be private.
