N. CAROLINA-Stephen G. Musan, 71, of Hubert, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021, at Carolina East Medical Center. The family will be celebratin­g his life with a private time of remembranc­e. A memorial Mass and burial will take place at a later date. Stephen was born on Oct. 12, 1949, in Saugerties, N.Y., to the late Stephen and Clara Musan. It was with great bravery and pride that he served our country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War where he was wounded. Stephen was a devoted patriot to his country and to the Marine Corps. He loved playing cards and especially loved his family and grandchild­ren who were the bright light in his life. Living close to his son, who was also a Marine, was special for him as well. He is survived by his daughter, Marcy Stiner and husband Bill of Exeter, N.H.; son, Stephen C. Musan and wife Mandy of Hubert, N.C.; brother, John Musan Sr. of Havelock, N.C.; aunt, Evelyn Chase and her children, of Saugerties, N.Y.; uncle, Charlie DuBois and his children of Saugerties, N.Y.; grandchild­ren, Kylee, Isaac, Alexis, Wyatt, Ethan, and Hayden; nieces, Megan, and Trisha; and nephew, John. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Musan.
