Athens
• Menacing: Spencer G. Sutton, 27, of Athens, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 7:02 a.m. Friday, March 19, and was charged with menacing and acting in a manner injurious to a child under 17, both misdemeanors. He was issued an appearance ticket for Athens Town Court.
Catskill
• Drugs: Kahleik S. Dickson, 27, of Catskill, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 5:13 p.m. Friday, March 19, and was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia (scales) and possession of more than 2 ounces of marijuana, both misdemeanors. Dickson was released with tickets for Catskill Town Court.
Esopus
• DWI/fleeing police officer: Braiden Brink, 35, of Port Ewen, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies with assistance from state police at about 10:30 p.m. Thursday, March 18, after deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop for an alleged speeding violation in connection with a previous incident. Brink allegedly took off at a high rate of speed and, when officers found the vehicle a short time later, refused to comply with authorities’ commands and resisted arrest. Brink was charged with fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, drunken driving, resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration, all misdemeanors, along with several traffic infractions. Brink was released with tickets for Esopus Town Court.
Greenport
• DWI, drugs: Richard W. Jordan, 29, of Windham, was arrested by state police at New Lebanon at 9:06 p.m. Friday, March 19, and was charged with drunken driving, driving with a blood-alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent and possession of a controlled substance, all misdemeanors. He was released with an appearance ticket for Greenport Town Court.
Greenville
• DWI: Paul R. Morris, 49, of Ravena, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 3:53 a.m. Saturday, March 20, and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors. He was issued an appearance ticket for Greenville Town Court.
New Paltz
• DWI: Christopher R. Campos, 47, of Kingston, was arrested by state police at Highland at 11:54 p.m. Friday, March 19, and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol content at or exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors. Campos was released with tickets for New Paltz Town Court.
Plattekill
• DWI: Jerry C. Thomas, 53, of New Paltz, was arrested by state police at Highland at 4:50 p.m. Friday, March 19, and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors. Thomas was issued an appearance ticket for Plattekill Town Court.
Saugerties
• DWAI-drugs: Alexander Santos-Torres, 30, of Bayshore, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 12:02 a.m. Saturday, March 20, and was charged with possession of a controlled substance and driving while ability impaired by drugs, both misdemeanors. Santos-Torres was released with tickets for Saugerties Town Court.
Shandaken
• Burglary/theft: Randall M. Lynch, 32, of Shandaken, an inmate at the Ulster County Jail, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies on Friday, March 19, with assistance from Shandaken police, and charged with burglary and grand larceny, both felonies, in connection with the alleged theft of a 2009 Kawasaki KLR650 motorcycle from a residence on Ernst Road on Oct. 26, 2020. It is alleged that Lynch illegally entered the residence and stole the motorcycle, which was recovered by detectives several weeks after the theft. Lynch remains at the jail with appearance tickets for Shandaken Town Court.
Town of Ulster
• Drugs: Sean Ashdown, 31, of Albany, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies at 1:55 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, and was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana, both misdemeanors. Ashdown was arrested after deputies saw what appeared to be a man sleeping in a vehicle parked at a gas pump in the town. Deputies said Ashdown was found with fentanyl and marijuana. He was released with tickets for Ulster Town Court.
