Ulster County will have three walk-in coronavirus vaccination clinics next week, County Executive Pat Ryan announced Thursday. The county’s goal, Ryan said during a Facebook Live briefing, is to make it as easy as possible for county residents to access the “lifesaving” vaccines.

No appointments will be required to receive the first dose of the two-shot Moderna vaccine at:

• The Marlborough Justice Court, 21 Milton Turnpike, Milton, from noon to 7 p.m. Monday, April 19;

• The Shandaken Town Hall, 7209 Route 28, Allaben, from noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 20; and

• Ellenville High School, 28 Maple Ave., Ellenville, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 24.

Appointments for the Marlborough and Shandaken shots can be made online at vaccinateulsteer.com but are not required. Appointments to be vaccinated at the county’s main “point of dispensing” (POD)

site, in the former Best Buy store at Hudson Valley Mall in the town of Ulster, also can be made at that website.

The county held its first walk-in clinic from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at the Andy Murphy III Midtown Neighborhood Center in Kingston. Information about how many doses were administered there was not immediately available.

This week’s allotment

Ryan said 10,480 doses of COVID vaccine were being shipped to Ulster County this week: 4,170 for the county health department; 3,510 for the state-run inoculation facility at the Ulster County Fairgrounds in New Paltz; and 2,800 for county “partner” sites, including hospitals and pharmacies.

Anyone who lives in New York state can be vaccinated at the New Paltz site. Shots at the sites operated by Ulster County and its partners are for county residents only.

Appointments to be vaccinated at the state-run sites, including the one in New Paltz, can be made online at covid-19-vaccine.health.ny.gov.
