Area business people ‘On the Move’
David Drimer is the new executive director of the Jewish Federation of Ulster County.
Drimer, who started on April 1, is a former national executive director of the Zionist Orga- nization of America, the oldest proIsrael organization in the U.S., and a former associate publisher and general manager of The Forward, the national Jewish newspaper.
He is also the cofounder of National Holocaust Awareness Institute, NHAIonline.org, a start-up not-for-profit established to address widespread ignorance of the Holocaust among the Millennial, Gen Z, and younger generations.
Drimer held C-level positions at domestic and international not-for-profit and for-profit enterprises, both large and small. He had been a publisher, marketing executive, and creative director with both the Economist Group and Knight-Ridder newspapers for many years.
Drimer received a bachelor of arts degree and a master of business administration degree from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, where he also served as assistant director of admissions. He served on the audit committee of the World Jewish Congress and the board of directors of the Deadline Club (New York chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists). He was chairman of the board of the Global Press Institute.

Nick Barzee, a certified public accountant, is the new controller in the Finance Department of the Bank of Greene County, headquartered in Catskill.
Barzee has over 12 years of experience as a senior manager with KPMG LLP, both in New York City and Albany. He is a graduate of SUNY Oswego, and holds both a bachelor’s degree in public accounting, and a master of business administration degree. He resides in Ballston Lake.
