BURLINGTON FLATSBetty H. Wilber, 94, formerly of Mt. Tremper died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020, at the Little Falls Hospital. She was born March 21, 1926 in London, England, daughter of the late George and Eileen (Burke) Reeve. An area resident since 1948, she had been a legal secretary as well as a secretary at Rotron in Woodstock. Betty owned and operated a transportation company and then went on to drive for Tonche Transit where she lovingly cared and vigilantly watched out for scores of school children. She enjoyed showing her Norwegian Elkhounds in AKC sanctioned dog shows, including the famous Westminster Dog Show. Betty had a green thumb as she tended to her gardens, and she enjoyed feeding the birds. She was a former member of the Grange and a supporter of the SPCA. Surviving are her sons, David Wilber and Daniel (Alison) Wilber, three daughters, Laurel Olexa, Robin (Arthur) Wood, Alison Shallcross. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 12 greatgrandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Norman in 1990 and her son-in-law, Lee Shallcross. A private graveside service will be held at the family plot at the Hudler Cemetery, Rt. 28, Mt. Tremper on Monday. A gathering to honor and remember her will take place on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the Shandaken Reformed Church of Mt. Tremper 5411 Rt. 212, Mt. Tremper..
