• City of Kingston municipal buildings are open. Employees and visitors no longer will have to undergo health screenings to enter city buildings. Unvaccinated persons still have to wear face masks.
• The Ulster County Fair will be held Aug. 3-8 at the county fairgrounds, 249Libertyville Road, New Paltz. Online: ulstercountyfair.com.
• The Ulster County Pool Complex, 241 Libertyville Road, New Paltz, will open on the weekend of July 4 and will remain open until Labor Day on Sept. 7.
• The Bardavon in Poughkeepsie and the Ulster Performing Arts Center in Kingston are to reopen this summer. Go to bardavon. org for upcoming shows.
• The Hudson Valley Garlic Festival will take place Saturday, Oct. 2, and Sunday, Oct. 3, at Cantine Field in Saugerties.
• Ulster County’s offices have reopened. Visitors must wear masks unless they provide proof of vaccination. The Department of Motor Vehicles office will remain open by appointment only. Go to clerk. ulsterny.gov or dmv.ny.gov.
• The 32nd Annual Tivoli Wide Yard Sale will be held Saturday, July 31, starting at 9 a.m., rain or shine. A comprehensive map will be published showing the locations of each sale, and distributed at the Four Corners. Call the Village office at (845) 757-2021 for more information.
• John Burroughs’ cabin, Slabsides, 261Floyd Ackert Road, West Park, will be open for tours from noon to 4 p.m. June 26; July 10, 17 and 24; Aug. 7, 14, and 28; Sept. 11 and 25; and Oct.

• The Kingston Library is open but asks that all patrons wear masks inside the building. More info: kingstonlibrary.org.
• The Kingston Farmers Market has opened for the season. It takes place Saturdays, from 9a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Ulster County Courthouse parking lot. (Enter from John Street or Wall Street.) The market is scheduled to run, rain or shine, through Nov. 20. Online: kingstonfarmersmarket.org.
• The Rhinebeck Farmers Market is open Sundays, from 10a.m. to 2p.m., in the municipal parking lot at 61E. Market St. It will run outside until Dec. 26. (There will not be a market on Dec. 5.) Visit rhinebeckfarmersmarket.com for more information.
• The Ulster County Historical Society, 2682U.S. Route 209, Marbletown, has opened for the season. Hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 11a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $10for adults, $5for seniors and students. Admission for society members is free.
• Opus 40, located at 50 Fite Road in Saugerties, is now open Friday through Sunday.
• Arlene L. Van Alen Sammons Kerans, a former Kingston resident, will be signing copies of her book, “Murray Street,” which tells about her life growing up on that street along the Esopus Creek, on Thursday, June 24, at the Kingston Library, 55Franklin St., Kingston. Books will be available at the library and
are also available on Amazon.com.

• Happy to Help Food Pantry is located at St. James United Methodist Church, 35Pearl St., Kingston. The food pantry is only open on Sundays, from 10:30a.m.-2 p.m. Participants are asked to follow COVID procedures by wearing masks, bringing in their own bags, entering through the Fair Street entrance, and observe social distancing. • The People’s Place Food Pantry is open Monday through Friday from 10a.m. to 1p.m. at 17St. James

• The People’s Place Community Café is open and free to all Monday through Friday from 8:30a.m. to 1 p.m., serving continental breakfast and lunch.
• The People’s Place
Bounty Table, located just outside the doors, offers free produce, breads, baked goods, dairy items and proteins. The items change daily and are first come, first serve during business hours, 10a.m. to 1p.m.
• The People’s Place Thrift Store and Boutique has reopened. Hours are 10a.m. to 1p.m. Monday through Friday.
• The Hudson River Maritime Museum, 50Rondout Landing, Kingston, is open from noon to 4p.m. Fridays and Saturdays for 30-minute visits by groups of up to four. Advance tickets are required. Go to hrmm.org.
• Hudson Valley Honor Flight has suspended flights through June 30. The nonprofit organization honors the nation’s veterans by transporting them

• The Highland Public Library is open with limited services. • The Rosendale Library has opened its doors to people wanting to browse the collections in person, and those wishing to use the computers. Mask wearing at all times is required
while inside the building. The library is continuing to provide curbside service and encourages people to use curbside for picking up and returning books, as well as for fax, copy, and print services, which are available by appointment. • The Hurley and West Hurley libraries have reopened. Patrons may browse the shelves, use the computers, fax materials and reserve items in an online catalog. Furniture has been rearranged for social distancing, and the libraries are offering hand sanitizer and wipes for computers. Returned books will be quarantined before re-entering circulation. All patrons must wear masks and maintain social distance, and each building is limiting capacity. Both libraries still are offering curbside borrowing, and e-books and streaming remain available.

• The Town of Esopus Library is open for browsing and one-hour computer use. Items can be picked up at the circulation desk or returned in the outdoor dropbox or at the circulation desk. • The Morton Memorial Library & Community House in Rhinecliff has reopened to the public. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 10a.m. to 2p.m. Saturdays. Masks are required to enter the library and social distancing must be practiced. There is a limit of eight people in the library. Computer access will be available, with appointments preferred. • The Balsam Lake Mountain Fire Tower in Arkville has reopened its top cab to visitors.
• The Food Pantry at Trinity Lutheran Church, 72Spring St., Kingston is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9a.m. to 1 p.m. The pantry is closed on Mondays and Fridays. Wear a mask when picking up a bag of groceries at the door.
• The city of Kingston’s playgrounds have reopened with health and safety rules.
• The Dutchess County Department of Motor Vehicles, 22Market St., Poughkeepsie, has resumed in-person license, permits and non-driver ID transactions by appointment only. • Kingston’s Emergency Food Hotline has added a website, www.kingstonemergencyfood.com. To provide meals and groceries to those in need across the Kingston City School District, the Emergency Food hotline, (888) 316-0879, was created to streamline the intake of requests.
