SAUGERTIES- Narritah Janette Lomax was the youngest of three children born to Verna Delores Hazéll-Lomax and the late Joseph Henry Lomax on March 22, 1984 in Kingston, N.Y. She attended Mt. Marion Elementary School in Mt. Marion, N.Y., and Saugerties High School in Saugerties, N.Y. She began her work career as a teenager working for McDonalds. After finishing her Certified Nursing Assistance program, she was employed by both Ten Broeck Commons Nursing Home and Golden Hill Nursing Home for ten years and, subsequent­ly, worked at Thompson House Nursing Rehab Facility for 10 years before deciding to pursue higher learning in the areas of Nursing and Hospital Administra­tion at Ulster County Community College and Maria College. Family meant everything to Narritah. She is fondly remembered for her big heart and her big smile. Her kindness and generous considerat­ion of others will be missed. She leaves to mourn her passing her mother, Verna D. H. Lomax; her sisters, Sharemah Janelle Lomax and Briannah Jaleigh Lomax; her uncle, Conrad Llewelyn Hazéll; her nieces, Delisianna Naccarato and Azaria Naccarato and Aniya Snyder; her nephews, Aamir and Jahmia Snyder; her cousins, Yolanda Maria Hazéll and Clyfford and Roseanne Hazéll; a host of other relatives and friends and her beloved dog Roxy. Funeral arrangemen­ts are under the guidance of Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc., 27 Smith Avenue, Kingston, N.Y. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, from 4 to 7 p.m. Service will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2021, 11 a.m. at the Kingston Seventh-Day Adventist Church; 100 Lucas Avenue; Kingston, N.Y. Final viewing will be held one hour before service. Narittah will be laid to rest in Mt. Marion Cemetery. The family has requested a private burial.
