Active cases steadily climb in Ulster, Dutchess counties
KINGSTON, N.Y. » Active COVID-19 cases in Ulster and Dutchess County have steadily climbed during a four-day period, according to government online dashboards.
Ulster reported Monday it had 495 cases on Sunday, May 1; 476 on Saturday, April 30; 453, Friday, April 29; and 356 on Thursday, April 28.
The county reported Monday no additional deaths during that time period, leaving the pandemic-long total at 376.
There have been 40,009 confirmed COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began in March 2020. Of that number, the county has reported 39,138 recoveries.
Dutchess County reported Monday that it had 554 active COVID-19 cases as of Saturday, April 30; 495 on Friday, April 29; 439 on April 28; and 427 on April 27.
Dutchess said it has had 65,707 total confirmed cases since the pandemic began.
