The following items are based on information provided by officials in law enforcement and the criminal justice system.
City Of Kingston
• DWI/endangering: David Damon Butler, 30, address not provided, was arrested by Kingston police on Rondout Drive at 7:59 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, and was charged with driving while intoxicated (previous conviction within 10 years), a felony; aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child (first offense) and endangering the welfare of a child, both misdemeanors; and with the violation of refusal to take a breath test, an infraction. Butler was released with tickets for Kingston City Court.
• Obstruction: Jadeesha Q. Gaines, 27, address not provided, was arrested by Kingston police on Elmendorf Street at 2p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, and was charged with obstruction of governmental administration, criminal mischief to property valued at more than $250, and with criminal trespass, all misdemeanors. Gaines was released with tickets for Kingston City Court.
• Drugs: Scott G. Chislett, 30, address not provided, was arrested by Kingston police on Broadway at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance (stimulants), a felony; criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor; and with disorderly conduct (creating hazardous condition), a violation. Chislett was released with tickets for Kingston City Court.
Lloyd
• DWI: Sarah N. Whalen,
31, of Esopus, was arrested by state police at Highland at 8:35a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, and was charged with driving while intoxicated (prior conviction within 10 years) and aggravated driving while intoxicated (with a prior offense), both felonies. Whalen was released with tickets for Lloyd Town Court.
New Paltz
• DWI/DWAI-drugs: Karen Sutton, 54, of Gardiner, was arrested by state police at Highland at 11:18 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, and was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while ability impaired by drugs and driving while ability impaired by drugs and alcohol, all misdemeanors. Sutton was released with tickets for New Paltz Court.
Red Hook
• DWI: Roxanne M. Haggerty, 66, of Red Hook, was arrested by Red Hook police at 4:25 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, on Firehouse Lane in the village and was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and two counts of drunken driving, all misdemeanors, along with several traffic infractions. The arrest followed an investigation into a two-car crash at Firehouse Lane and Elizabeth Street, after which it was determined Haggerty had a blood alcohol content of 0.24%, three times the legal limit, at the time of the crash. Haggerty was released with tickets for Red Hook Court.
Wawarsing
• DWAI-drugs: Shaquon J. McGinnis, 25, of Pine Bush, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 12:08 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, and was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor. McGinnis was released with a ticket for Wawarsing Town Court.
